Saturday morning starts my 3 Saturday Level 1 session at the Routhier Community centre – where I’ll be teaching basics like sewing on a button, hemming pants and other fun stuff.  Save money by doing it yourself, or gain appreciation for how it’s done !

There will also be a limited selection of ready made pieces in the dance costume realm – my main love for clothing is custom making it for you with your own ideas in mind, but i like to have a few pieces handy just to show some options and feed the quick purchase needs! First Annual Spring Art and Craft Sale at the Firehall

Tracey of TAV Creations/Eco-TAV accompanying Luxe Bridal!

AS I create custom made dresses, I don’t actually have the luxury of carrying a line of samples in house. So no, I won’t be selling samples of original TAV Creations pieces here. I will be using my Eco-TAV sewing skills to help support “Dress for Success”, the charity event involved with this showcase of fabulous ready made gowns!

With my new adventures with Luxe Bridal Salon on Dalhousie Street, as their “Alterations Specialist”, the lovely ladies have invited me to tag along with them to this fun event and asset brides in getting a quick idea of alterations as they explore purchasing gowns from Luxe!

I am all about being flexible and creative in my journeys into the Sparkly side of life and am really looking forward to being a part of this amazing Ottawa opportunity!

Eco-TAV will be rocking’ it again at this fun fair at the newly renovated Old Ottawa South community centre – otherwise known as the  Firehall!

I’ve got some fun Holiday themed gift bags, and the classic Eco-TAV Pouches and Napkins!

More about L’Arche Ottawa on Ottawa Tonite!

It’s been a while since I have posted, mainly due to having to change our server where we’ve got all this techno stuff hosted etc.

So in the meantime I’ve been doing some accounting and examining what I can continue with in regards to the Eco-TAV line.  I know these pieces are a great diea, but it’s just me.  I do the designing, sewing, marketing etc.  I am totally grateful for the few locations who have joined my adventure and sell my products through their retail locations as well, so I want to make sure I can continue with that.

Upon realizing that my time is limited, and my costs do need to be considered in the equation, I’ll be continuing with one fabric type for the napkins and pouches: the 55% Hemp/45% Cotton.  The 100% hemp is lovely, but the cost is almost double to get it, and I don’t buy fabric in large enough quantities to allow for greater discounts.

THUS PLEASE NOTE:I’ll be selling off my remaining stock of 100% hemp pieces over the next while and donating 30% of my profits to the fund-raising efforts of the Ottawa Browncoats and the Serenity/Dr.Horrible showing that will raise money for iSisters and Equality Now.

I’ll also have a booth at the Environment Week Fair on the 2nd of June 2010 at L’Esplanade Laurier Building. I will be there from 9 AM to 2 PM.

Although it is described as an “information” booth, I will have stock with me, and can process orders discretely for those interested!  Or you can still order online of course!
